Mug Cake for a Rainy Day

Lately, I have fallen in love with mug cakes. They are the perfect little snacks that you and your friends or siblings can cook up in under 5 minutes and the are delicious! Below is my favorite recipe for mug cakes! Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Mug Cake

1/2 cup of all purpose flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 t. baking powder

5 T. sugar

1/4 t. salt

1/2 cup chocolate almond milk

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 T. peanut butter (it can be creamy or crunchy)

whipped cream

1. Put all the dry ingredients together in a large mug. Mix them softly with a fork until there are no clumps left.
2. add in milk and olive oil slowly, while whisking it together. Mix until the batter has a consistency of brownie mix and if you get any on the sides, scrape them into the batter.
3. Drop the peanut butter in, both tablespoons at once. Do not mix or push it down, just let it sink in by itself.
4. Place a paper towel over the mug and put it in the microwave for 1 minute on high or until the edges start pulling away from the sides of the mug.
5. Scoop into individual bowls, add whipped cream on top and eat warm.

A Fashion Guide to Hats

I used to always say that I hated hats. I really just had no idea how to wear them! Have you ever had this problem? If you have, this will be a helpful post for you! Luckily, I have finally figured out how to wear hats and I adore them. They are perfect accessories and so much fun. Here is a simple guide to my favorite styles:
 1. The ski hat
This one is one of those hats that can look good with almost any casual outfit. The trick it to have your hair down, do not try a ponytail, single braid, or bun with this hat! Keep the tassels in the front and have it placed right above the eyebrows.
 2. The baseball cap
This one is a little more tricky, sure the simplicity of it makes it look easy to wear but its really not. It only looks good with very casual outfits. The nice thing is it looks great with hair pulled down and also a ponytail. Don't have it placed to high on your head though, these will give you tall foreheads!
 3. The sun hat
Sun hats are lovely. Like ski hats though, they only work well with your hair down. Occasionally you can pull off a braid or messy bun with it, but try to stick with straight or curled hair on this one. Great for summer dressier styles and swimsuits.
4. The hipster hat
This one is tricky. So many people do not know how to hear it! To make it look good, it needs to be worn just right. You cant have it pulled up to high or it makes your head look long and you cant have it pulled over your eye brows because that just looks weird. Have the line co a few centimeters above your eyebrows and point the top of the hat a bit since there is no pom pom at the top. Hair down is a bonus to the look and definitely have the tassels going in the front. These ones can't be pulled off with just any outfit. A casual one, but not sweats or a running outfit. That shows off a dumpy look. Shorts are not good with this one you you better stick with jeans. Jackets look great too!

5. The Gangsta cap
These flat billed hats have been coming in and out of style for the past few years and they can be fun. I would definitely advise down hair with these. Probably straightened too. Since they are such big hats, your hair shouldn't be big and bulky. The usually go with more casual outfits and preferably sunglasses. Wear it in the same way you would a baseball cap, but you can also turn it around backwards!
 6. The beanie
I do realize that I have posted this awesome hat before, I just wanted to point out how to wear it!This one is worn with a nicer casual. Less nice casual + beanies = hobo look! You do not want to look like a hobo. Wear this hat like the hipster hat and ski hat, right above the eyebrows except on this one you want to pull the back of the hat a little farther down. Its okay if the top is sticking up, I think it gives it flare.
Thanks guys!

Créme Brulee

Okay guys, so I adore créme brulee but it is just super hard to make! It takes forever for a little treat. Guess. what. is. at. Costco. QUICK BAKE CRÉME BRULEE! It is so simple and has all the deliciousness as the homemade type.

It starts out looking a little like vanilla pudding.

Then you sprinkle the sugar on top.

it melts out and looks like jam kind of.

you put it in the oven for 20 SECONDS at 500 degrees.
take it out, let it cool and enjoy!

what a delicious treat!
Plus, the adorable little jars can be used as a simple jewelry holder!

Mint eos©

I love eos© so much but my absolute favorite is mint. The mint eos is not like the other ones, your lips tingle when you put it on and it is my favorite chapstick I have. I have all of the flavors of eos and mint is the best. If you have not switched to using eos yet and you are thinking of starting, definetly get mint! It has made me a chapstick freak, seriously. As a side note, it is short season! Who is as excited as I am? Stiped shirts and shorts here I come!
