Plant Care

Today I thought it would be fun to try something different and do a plant post! Because honestly, who doesn't love succulents? I have three succulents as of now but I am planning to grow my collection in the near future. All three plants (miniature cactus, Sedeveria Hybrid, and Aloe Vera) all call for similar care. They need plenty of sunshine so I keep them in my well lit window 24/7. They do not need to be watered very often, so I wait until their soil is very dry (I can tell by the lightness of the color and by touching around the bottom of the plant itself) and then I use a spray bottle to lightly spray the plant and then the soil, almost like mimicking rain. The pots have holes in the bottom of them so even if I over water them, the excess water will run out onto the ceramic plate underneath. You notice that I have little name tags for each one which might seem odd but really the purpose for the tags it to hold the sticker instructions that were on their original pots. The secret about the miniature cactus though is that the flowers are actually fake! If you get this kind of plant you can easily take off the flowers if you do not like them or you can just do what I did and leave them on because they are adorable! I love keeping these plants and wish me luck on trying to grow them to their full heights!

Summer Evening Style

Sorry for taking so long again! Life has been crazy. I hope you guys enjoy the new look of the blog too, I think the last style was just way too busy, what are your thoughts? This is one of my new favorite outfits so I thought it would be fun to share :) I love the tunic type shirt because it is perfect for summer days with its light and airy fabric that moves easily. Plus, it goes with everything so i just love it! Next are my H&M© cargo style skinny jeans. The army green pants go great with the gray shirt and gives some flavor to any outfit with the extra zippers. my shoes are the brand Mossimo© and are pretty much my favorite sandals. The are very comfy with an elastic band instead of a second strap and I go everywhere in them. Also, did you notice my plants?? Next post will be about them, don't worry :)

Handy Gold Sharpie

Did you ever know that a Gold Sharpie could be this handy? It is so great! You can embellish your nails, spice up your everyday use things, add some pop to light switches, hand-made washy tape, and even make plastic utensils fun for parties and things! Some other ideas that I didn't feature are Henna, stickers, jewelry, etc. Just have fun with it, get creative! Have an awesome day!

Black Ankle Boots

Just a tip, when you are wearing ankle boots, never have your jeans going into them! It makes your jeans look weird and it just doesn't go good with the boots. Make sure you always roll up your pants just above the top of the boot or wear a skirt with them. If you are wearing jeans, i would suggest putting monotone patterned socks under to make your outfit a little bit more fun! I got my boots at American Eagle and I love them! They have such cute ones there! Happy Winter!

San Francisco travel log

Are you having a great Christmas break? Good! I went to San Francisco this Summer and now I am finally getting around to posting it. San Fran is totally my soul city. I love the steep streets, smashed houses, and gorgeous views. We got one day to explore the whole city and I feel that in that one day we only scraped the surface of this city. If you find yourself here, I would suggest taking a day to just walk around and see the sites. you don't quite get the feel for it driving. We took a boat trip under the golden gate bridge and past alcatraz, and that was awesome too! We even got to go in the ghiradelli factory and meet a wax Morgan Freeman. What a day it was! I loved it all! Happy New Years!
