San Francisco travel log

Are you having a great Christmas break? Good! I went to San Francisco this Summer and now I am finally getting around to posting it. San Fran is totally my soul city. I love the steep streets, smashed houses, and gorgeous views. We got one day to explore the whole city and I feel that in that one day we only scraped the surface of this city. If you find yourself here, I would suggest taking a day to just walk around and see the sites. you don't quite get the feel for it driving. We took a boat trip under the golden gate bridge and past alcatraz, and that was awesome too! We even got to go in the ghiradelli factory and meet a wax Morgan Freeman. What a day it was! I loved it all! Happy New Years!

Christmas Season

Its almost Christmas and I am so excited! To celebrate my favorite holiday season, I want to share with you how my family decorates our house for the holidays and to maybe inspire you a bit on how to do yours or just get you in the christmas spirit! First, we always have tons of wreaths and I absolutely adore them! W put ones on our garage lights, our porch, our door, and a bunch of the windows inside! We also drape different garlands on our porch and anywhere else we can find room. Garlands are fun because they are simple and add a festive feel. My favorite one is wrapped around our railing on our stairs, it has lights on it and it just makes me feel cozy looking at it :) We always have the typical nativities everywhere which are fun to rearrange! Our tree is kind of different though... We have these adorable red bows that are place everywhere on the tree that adds more unity because other than that our tree is a crazy miss match of all the different baubles and things we have acquired over the years. Plus we have a homemade lace star perched on the top. Its all quite entertaining to look at actually! Oh, and of course stockings! Since we have no fireplace we hang them on our book shelves. They are cute maroon elf stockings and I love them! Lastly, a gingerbread house! You can't decorate for Christmas without decorating a ginger bread house in my opinion! We always get the "Build-Your-Own Gingerbread House Kit" from Costco, its so simple and way fun! I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

Cozy

Sorry I just couldn't resist doing two fashion posts in a row, this cardigan wrap was just so irresistible I had to share! The wrap is a thin knit fabric with long tassels at the bottom and unbelievable cozy! (if you haven't noticed, cozy is my favorite word this season) I always have believed that B&W stripes and red plaid go perfect together so thats what I put together today! and of course my ripped black jeans to compliment the shirt. The booties aren't my favorite but I felt like its what went the best with the outfit. There was some contrary beliefs about the dark brown and black but actually, because I am wearing red, it ties it in. Just a tip! Lastly, I draw your attention to my nails. Ah! Can you believe it? Gold nail polish!! yay! Have a very cozy winter!

Target Boots and Other Snow Clothing

Ah sorry its been so long! Life has been so busy (as always) but I am hoping to be able to start posting more often again. So, in honor of the first snow that has stayed in my yard for more than 24 hours, I would like to show you my favorite outfit for snow! During the winter I rarely leave the house without a nice cozy sweater. My favorite is this navy one from, get this, Old Navy :) It matches with everything! When a sweater isn't enough I always love to throw on my black winter coat. It is so warm! Also, to just tie the outfit together I add a warm head wrap. Lastly, are my Target "sorels". They are really knock off Sorels but they look almost the same and I love them! Hope you are cozy this winter!
