Travel Guide: Yellowstone and Tetons

Yay! Finally another travel log! Well, this fall break I went on a little adventure to not one but TWO National Parks! I loved it. First off, I want to suggest some great places to visit while you are there. I just want to point out really quick that I went in late fall, right before the snowing season started. This was seriously THE PERFECT TIME TO GO! Barely anyone else was there and the weather was prime. My first suggestion is obvious- the old faithful geyser! They have a lovely visitors center with a large window that you can view it from but I think it is way more fun if you actually go out on the boardwalk and see it up close! And since you will be out there anyways, most definitely walk around and see the other geysers. Old Faithful isn't even the most impressive one, that is what surprised me most. They even have a geyser app that you can get that tells you when the geysers should be going off. Next, I think you should just go exploring! There are tons of little excursions with boardwalks or fun trials you can just find driving along the main rode. My last suggestion is Lake Jenny. It is in the Tetons national park and it is simply breathtaking. My favorite hike around it was the hidden falls hike, you got a full view of the lake almost the whole time and the actual falls were gorgeous! Okay, next thing. What to wear. Like I said, the weather was prime! I just wore lots of layers because it was frigid in the morning but by the time we were up and hiking it was really warm. I usually had on a light t shirt with a light hoodie and on top of that a flannel shirt. I would slowly strip off each layer through the day :) Most of all though, bring a hat! That really helped me be warm most of all. Well y'all, have a blast and see you next week!
