Travel Guide: Yellowstone and Tetons

 photo creds: http://photobysarah.weebly.com/

Yay! Finally another travel log! Well, this fall break I went on a little adventure to not one but TWO National Parks! I loved it. First off, I want to suggest some great places to visit while you are there. I just want to point out really quick that I went in late fall, right before the snowing season started. This was seriously THE PERFECT TIME TO GO! Barely anyone else was there and the weather was prime. My first suggestion is obvious- the old faithful geyser! They have a lovely visitors center with a large window that you can view it from but I think it is way more fun if you actually go out on the boardwalk and see it up close! And since you will be out there anyways, most definitely walk around and see the other geysers. Old Faithful isn't even the most impressive one, that is what surprised me most. They even have a geyser app that you can get that tells you when the geysers should be going off. Next, I think you should just go exploring! There are tons of little excursions with boardwalks or fun trials you can just find driving along the main rode. My last suggestion is Lake Jenny. It is in the Tetons national park and it is simply breathtaking. My favorite hike around it was the hidden falls hike, you got a full view of the lake almost the whole time and the actual falls were gorgeous! Okay, next thing. What to wear. Like I said, the weather was prime! I just wore lots of layers because it was frigid in the morning but by the time we were up and hiking it was really warm. I usually had on a light t shirt with a light hoodie and on top of that a flannel shirt. I would slowly strip off each layer through the day :) Most of all though, bring a hat! That really helped me be warm most of all. Well y'all, have a blast and see you next week!

Denim on Denim??

What is your opinion, does denim on denim work? I am thinking a yes if you do it a certain way... with stripes and brown shoes I think! I really think it works if you do different colors of denim so it doesn't look like too much... and especially not ALL denim, I would definitely go with pants and a jacket! I love this old 90s jacket though! Its the only one I have seen in a while and I simply adore it. 90s are coming back guys... I am excited :) Have a great fall break!

Make it With Wool

Fall is starting and I couldn't be more excited! Today I would like to spotlight a wool dress and hat I made for the contest Make it With Wool. The dress and hat are made completely from wool except for the inside lining! This is my darling sister modeling, and I think she pulls it lovely! As you can see, there is a little button whole on the hat, this is where you can clip in a little flower or bow. It is so much fun to share my projects with you all!

Woven Pear Socks

I kind of LOVE Woven Pear© socks! They are pretty much to die for! These are my absolute favorite pair of socks and there is no question why, they are the perfect length, very thinck which makes them durable and obviously the adorable pattern! They have so many different patterns that are adorable and match every outfit of everyday. Go get some of your own!

Back to the blog & Back to school

The Blog is back! Sorry its been so long that I haven't posted, its just been so crazy finally starting high school! Its insane, really. I decided I would do a back to school post, even though school started a while ago, but its to get back into the swing of things. Todays outfit includes an H&M blazer to dress any outfit up, then my favorite new Gap shoes that are perfect for walking around school and match with so many things! I also included my favorite turquoise shorts and striped shirt, because I wear them to school so much, so I couldn't leave them out! Lastly is my new Mossimo back pack from target! Hope you all had an amazing start of school and glad I am back!

Frozen Grapes

Hey guys! How is your summer going? Mine has been really busy, but I sure have been enjoying it! One thing that has made my summer 100% is my favorite frozen treat, no not popsicles but frozen grapes! They are simple enough, just make sure you have some skewers and red grapes (they taste the best when frozen) then put the grapes on the skewer in a shish kebab like way. Place the skewers in a large freezer bag and leave them in the fridge for a few hours, just enough to get them frozen solid. Take them out and you have a lovely treat! They somehow get 10x sweeter when they are frozen and you just let them sit in your mouth and melt, then bite into them. They seriously taste like candy! Even non-grape eaters enjoy them! Have fun!

Fashion for the Fourth

Happy Independence day! Who else loves this amazing country? I sure do! Well, everyone always dresses in their tacky fourth of july clothes today and you know me, I try to avoid being tacky! How do you show your country colors and still not be tacky then? Its simple. You want to find some blue jeans either shorts or long pants, a simple white t-shirt and a red and white striped accessory. It works and makes a cute and simple patriotic outfit! Have a great fourth of July!
